I am a storyteller.
Using screenwriting and directing as a platform to elevate stories that applaud diversity, gravitating towards characters that grapple on to a sense of belonging.
Immigrating from Mexicali, Baja California, I grew up in a personal paradox of being raised at home in Spanish but growing up in a world of English — two worlds that held the pen as I wrote the definition of who I am.
After attending Santa Fe University as a Robert Redford Full Ride Film Scholar, it exposed me to the world of Sundance Institute: Directors Lab where I began using exactly what the scholarship intended — my unique voice.
With the fuel of passion under my breath, I directed commercials, music videos, written film festival winning short films, and have recently wrote on the upcoming Netflix original, Selena: The Series.
